Abstract
Kâzım Uz, XIX. yüzyılın son çeyreği ile XX. yüzyılın ilk yarısı arasında yaşamış türk mûsikîsi bestekârlarından biridir. Dârüşşafaka’da lise tahsiline devam eden Uz, Zekai Dede’nin vefat ettiği 1897 yılına kadar 10 yıl boyunca kendisiyle meşk derslerine devam etmiştir. Bu kurumda tamamlamış olduğu mûsikî tahsilinin ardından, literatürdeki bilgilere göre 200 civarında eser bestelediği iddia edilen bestekârın, 1 Mevlevî Âyîni, 1 Medhiye, 1 Saz Semai, 1 Fantezi, 1 Nefes, 2 Peşrev, 3 Durak, 8 İlâhî, 13 Marş, 53 şarkı olmak üzere, günümüze ulaşan toplam 84 eseri bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, güftesini Mehmet Âkif Ersoy’un yazmış olduğu bir de İstiklâl Marşı bestelemiştir. Kâzım Uz, telif eserler, nazarî çalışmalar, mûsikî alanında yetiştirdiği talebeler ve yapmış olduğu bestelerle Türk mûsikîsine oldukça fazla katkı sağlamıştır. Bu makale çalışmasında ise toplamda 13 dinî eseri bulunan bestekârın yalnız bir adet olan Mevlevî Âyîni dışında, diğer 12 eserinin makamsal analizi yapılmış ve böylece bestekârın hem az bilinen/az icrâ edilen dinî eserleri tanıtılmış hem de araştırmacıların, döneme ait bu eserlerin makamsal yapıları hakkında ilmî bir kanaate varmaları amaçlanmıştır.

Kazım Uz, XIX. The last quarter of the century and the 20th century. He is one of the Turkish musical composers who lived between the first half of the 19th century. Uz, who continued his high school education at Darüşşafaka, continued meşk lessons with Zekai Dede for 10 years until his death in 1897. After completing his musical education in this institution, the composer, who is claimed to have composed around 200 works according to the information in the literature, wrote 1 Ayin of Mevlevi, 1 Medhiye, 1 Saz Semai, 1 Fantasy, 1 Nefeses, 2 Peşrevs, 3 Duraks, 8 Hymns, 13 Marches and 53 Songs. There are a total of 84 works that have survived to the present day. He also composed a national anthem whose lyrics were written by Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Kazım Uz contributed a lot to Turkish music with his copyrighted works, theoretical studies, the students he trained in the field of music, and the compositions he composed.In this article, the maqam analysis of the composer's 12 other works, except for only one, the Mevlevî Ritual, was made, and he has 13 religious works in total. Thus, the composer's lesser-known/less-performed religious works were introduced and it was aimed for researchers to reach a scientific conclusion about the maqam structures of the works belonging to the period.
