Abstract
Önemli bir kültür potansiyeline sahip, zengin tarihi ve eşsiz güzellikleriyle Karadeniz Bölgesi’nin batısında yer alan Sinop, coğrafi konumu, ulaşım sorunları ve iklim koşulları nedeniyle turizm sektöründen yeterince yararlanamamaktadır. Bu çalışmada Sinop destinasyonunun tarihi ve destinasyonda yer alan camiler, kiliseler, medreseler, çeşmeler, türbeler, mezarlar, sit alanları, evler, festivaller, panayırlar, gelenekler ve el sanatları gibi kültürel miras öğeleri alanyazın taraması yapılarak derlenmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışma ile Sinop destinasyonunun tarihi ve turistik kültürel miras değerleri tespit edilerek bu değerlerin alanyazına kazandırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda örneğin; Sinop ili Ayancık ilçesi Bakırlızaviye köyü camisinde bulunan Peygamber Efendimiz Hz. Muhammed’in (s.a.v.) kutsal emaneti Sakal-ı Şerifi’nden akademik anlamda ilk kez bu çalışmada bahsedilmektedir ve kayda geçirilmiştir. Sinop’un tüm yönleriyle tanıtımı ve turizm açısından cazibe merkezi olması sayesinde ekonomisi de güçlenecektir. Sinop’ta birçok tarihi yapının iyi korunduğu görülse de bakımsızlıktan ya da yasal sorunlardan dolayı tahrip olmuş ya da yıkılmaya yüz tutmuş yapıların olduğu görülmektedir. Kültürel varlık statüsünde yer alan evlerin sahipleri kendi mülkü olan evlerin tadilatını yasalar gereği istediği gibi yapamadığından mağdur olmaktadırlar. Pazar bulamama endişesi nedeniyle, el sanatları yeni nesillere aktarılamamaktadır ve unutulmaya yüz tutmaktadır. E-ticaretin ve zincir marketçiliğin yaygınlaşması ile birlikte alışveriş kolaylaştığından destinasyonda düzenlenen panayırlar da eski canlılığını ve önemini yitirmektedir. Günümüzde yeteri kadar sanayi kapasitesi bulunmayan Sinop destinasyonun geleceği ve ekonomisi büyük ölçüde kısa yaz sezonunda varlığını hissettiren turizme bağlıdır. Bu yönüyle çalışmada ortaya konacak veya tespit edilecek değerler ile bu kısa süreli turizm hareketliliği daha uzun süreli ve gelir getirici hale getirilebilecektir.

Abstract
Sinop, located in the west of the Black Sea Region with its important cultural potential, rich history and unique beauties, cannot benefit sufficiently from the tourism sector due to its geographical location, transportation problems and climatic conditions. In this study, the history of Sinop destination and cultural heritage elements such as mosques, churches, madrassas, fountains, mausoleums, tombs, protected areas, houses, festivals, fairs, traditions and handicrafts were compiled by scanning the literature. With this study, it is aimed to determine the historical and touristic cultural heritage values of the Sinop destination and to add these values to the literature. In this context, for example; The Prophet Muhammad is located in the mosque of Bakırlızaviye village in Ayancık district of Sinop province. The Sakal-ı Şerif, the sacred relic of Muhammad (pbuh), is mentioned and recorded in this study for the first time in an academic sense. Thanks to the promotion of Sinop in all its aspects and its status as a center of attraction in terms of tourism, its economy will also be strengthened. Although many historical buildings in Sinop are well preserved, there are also buildings that have been destroyed or are about to collapse due to neglect or legal problems. Owners of houses with cultural property status are victimized because they cannot renovate their own houses as required by law. Due to the concern of not finding a market, handicrafts cannot be passed on to new generations and are on the verge of being forgotten. As shopping has become easier with the spread of e-commerce and chain supermarkets, the fairs held in the destination are losing their former vitality and importance. The future and economy of the Sinop destination, which does not have sufficient industrial capacity today, largely depends on tourism, which makes its presence felt in the short summer season. In this respect, with the values to be revealed or determined in the study, this short-term tourism activity can be made longer-term and income-generating.
